Soft angel opened his wings,
Spread them out wide into the night sky.
It was dark.
The only thing light was the beating of his deep emotion.
He called back again, back to the earth
Where he left everything, everything he loved
And then he realized,
Looking behind, things were brighter.
Brighter than before.
He said
“Please, take me back!
I wish I’d loved, I wish I’d cared
I wish I’d cherished, given and shared.”
In a great breath of sorrow,
He breathed in renewed his happiness and faith.
