Biography
Channing Banks was born in Stanford, California, USA. Her family moved to Seattle, Washington when she was twelve years old and Channing furthered her knowledge of music by beginning to play the piano and the flute. She also began writing poetry and sang in her school choir.
Before she moved to Italy, Channing lived in Mexico, Taiwan and Montpellier.
In the summer of 2002, she met Larry Pignagnoli at Off Limits (Italy’s leading music production company) and they began to work together on finding the right sound and style to frame Channing’s extraordinarily evocative voice.
The first song they produced was “Bootsy Bootsy Boom”, a dance track that reached the top 20 in the Official Spanish Single Chart.
At the same time, Channing began her career as composer: she wrote tracks for FB (a project by Ferry Corsten and Benny Benassi), Benassi Bros, Benny Benassi, Dhany, Ann Lee, In-Grid and Whigfield.
In 2007 Channing’s first solo pop album “To be free” was released. She also featured on several dance projects, like Mobbing’s tracks “Breaking my heart” and “Picante” and in House*Less song “Walking on sidelines”.
In 2008 Channing singles “Here 4 U” and “To be Free” were released, both exctracted from her solo album.
In 2009 Channing composed and sang Benny Benassi’s single “Come fly away”.
In March 2010 her second solo album "Majesty" came out; the singles extracted from the LP were "Ha Ha Heart" and "You've got me out".
